Getting Started with the FAB Mobile App

The FAB Mobile App is the primary digital banking tool for First Abu Dhabi Bank customers in the UAE. It covers everything from balance checks and fund transfers to card management and investment tracking. This guide helps you set it up correctly and make the most of its features.

Downloading and Installing the App

The FAB Mobile App is available for both major platforms:

  • iOS: Search "FAB Mobile" on the Apple App Store.
  • Android: Search "FAB Mobile" on Google Play Store.

Always download from the official store to avoid counterfeit apps. Verify that the developer name matches First Abu Dhabi Bank's official listings before installing.

First-Time Registration

If you are a new user activating mobile banking for the first time:

  1. Open the app and tap "Register" or "New User".
  2. Enter your FAB debit or credit card number and the card's expiry date.
  3. Provide your registered UAE mobile number — an OTP will be sent for verification.
  4. Create a username and a strong password (mix of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols).
  5. Set up a 6-digit MPIN for quick logins within the app.

Enabling Biometric Login

Once registered, you can use Face ID or fingerprint to log in faster:

  1. Go to Settings inside the app.
  2. Select "Biometric Login" and toggle it on.
  3. Follow the prompt to authenticate with your device's biometrics.

Quick Balance View

Enable this feature in the app's settings to see your balance on the login screen without fully signing in. Great for a fast balance check on the go.

Push Notifications & Transaction Alerts

Turn on push notifications so the app alerts you every time a transaction is made on your account. Go to Settings → Notifications and enable all transaction types relevant to you.

Card Controls

Within the app you can instantly freeze/unfreeze your debit or credit card, set spending limits, and restrict usage by category (e.g., online purchases only).

FAB Rewards

Link your FAB rewards account inside the app to track points, view reward history, and redeem benefits without visiting a branch.
